The leadership team of the church.

Pastoral Team:

Snr. Pastor - Errol Jacobs

Errol is the pastor of the church. He was born in South Africa and lived and worked there for most of his life. He has been in fulltime ministry since 1998, mostly as a pastor in the Evangelical Bible Church of Southern Africa. He also served as a missionary and conference speaker in the USA with Word of Life International. He is a gifted speaker and teacher of the Word of God. He truly is a man of God and is completely sold out to the Lord. He became the pastor of Shotgate Baptist Church in February 2007 and is excited about what the Lord is doing here. He has ministered around the world as conference speaker in places like Africa, USA, Spain. He is married to Lindsay and they have a daughter called Esther and son Ethan. Errol has studied at the Evangelical Bible College, Cape Town, South Africa and the University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. 

Asst. Pastor - Hugh Cozens

Hugh is the assistant pastor at the church. He is married to Wendy and they have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Hugh has been in ministry for many years and he has a real love for people. He tis a great pastor to the people and teacher of the Word of God.

Elder - Edwin Grietens

Edwin was born on 1/11/1922 in Liepaja, Latvia. His parents were Evangelical Lutherans. He was baptised in 1943 at St. Paul's Baptist Church in Liepaja. He served during the war, and afterwards from 1943 - 1946. Edwin moved to Britain in 1947. Since then he has been a member of several Baptist churches at Horsham, Corby and Harrow. He has been at Shotgate Baptist Church since 1959 and has served as a deacon and secretary and is now an Elder.

Secretary and Deacon - Chris King

Chris King is the secretary of the church, as well as one of the deacons. He also runs the Boys Brigade and regularly leads church services. More info to follow. Chris is CRB checked.

Treasurer and Deaconess- Pauline Sims

Pauline is the church treasurer and a deaconess. She also runs the Girls Brigade. Pauline is CRB checked. She is married to George and they have two adult children. Pauline has been one of the founding and faithful members in this local church. She has a love for people both children and the elderly.

Asst. Treasurer and Deaconess - Maureen Livings 

Maureen has been at Shotgate Baptist Church for about 32 years. Before that she attended West Ham Central Mission where she first went to Girls Brigade and became a Christian. She is a deaconess at the church and an officer in the Girls Brigade.

• Toddles - Lindsay Jacobs

Lindsay and is the organiser of Toddles. She is married to the pastor of the church, Errol, and they have a daughter Esther and son Ethan. They first came to Shotgate Baptist in February 2007 and they love it here. She has lived in Essex most of her life, apart from spending about 2 years in the USA and South Africa. She became a Christian when she was 9 after she began to attend church with my dad.

Sunday School - Wendy Cozens

Wendy is married to the Ass. Pastor Hugh Cozens. She is one of the Sunday school teachers.

Sunday School - Pam Dent

Pam has been in Shotgate Baptist Church for many years faithfully serving the Lord. She is the other Sunday School teacher. She is married to Les Dent.

• Missions - Les Dent

Les has been a faithful servant of the Lord over many years. He has served the Lord in many different ways over the years. He is a great Bible teacher and a very diligent student of the Word. He has served as minister and has been on many missionary trips.
