Theme 2009 To Conquer

posted Friday, 9 January 2009

We have committed ourselves to take the challenge and to conquer many different things in our lives.

When the disciples could not drive out a demon in a boy they ask Jesus, "Why couldn't we drive it out?" Matthew 17:19. We spend our lives asking, Why? Why couldn't I conquer this or that? Why can't I do this or that? Why can someone else do it but I can not?

Jesus the great master that He is gives them a plain straight forward answer, which is found in Matthew 17:20. Too little faith He said.

This year and beyond we will make sure that we have the faith that Jesus Christ deserves. Faith that was not little like what the disciples had but much more which Jesus expected them to have. When we are faced with the aspect of trust, believe and faith will we show more, do more, believe more, more faith in Jesus Christ's ability not ours.

Not only that but we will develop our small faith into BIG faith. The mustard seed respresented the smallest seed during that time but it also had the biggest return, the biggest fruit. The amount of FAITH we have will determine the size of what we conquer, the fruit we experience.

Join us at Shotgate Baptist Church as we conquer the unimagineable, conquer the unconquerable, conquer the impossible because it is all possible in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Whatever your struggle, whatever your mountain in Jesus it can be conquered.

The Mountain of hatred, jealousy, gossip, lust, disobedience, laziness, fear, doubt, worry, stress, steeling, alcoholism, drug abuse, substance abuse, the list goes on and on, whatever it is, it can be conquered. God is for us and that is all we need, Romans 8:31.
